Summary
Physical Characteristics
Eriophyton wallichii is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.2 m (0ft 8in). It is in flower from July to September, and the seeds ripen from September to October. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs).
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.

The entire plant is used in Tibetan medicine, it is said to have a sweet taste and a cooling potency[241]. Anti-inflammatory and febrifuge, it dries up pus and joins cut nerves/vessels[241]. It is used in the treatment of inflammation of the lungs, pus in the lungs, inflammations of wounds/sores and cut nerves/blood vessels[241].
