Now available: PLANTS FOR YOUR FOOD FOREST: an important new book from PFAF. It focuses on the attributes of plants suitable for food forests, what each can contribute to a food forest ecosystem, including carbon sequestration, and the kinds of foods they yield. The book suggests that community and small-scale food forests can provide a real alternative to intensive industrialised agriculture, and help to combat the many inter-related environmental crises that threaten the very future of life on Earth. Visiting The Field - Tours and Open Days

Wild Camping - Holidays at PFAF

If you would like to camp in the beautiful place which is also close to beautiful creeks, woodlands, costal walks and sea swims - this might be the place for you. The land is also located in a Tourism restricted area - which means that you will also have a greater degree of peace and tranquility than you would in most other areas. You will need to bring your own tent, cooking equipment and food. (No meat or fish on site please.) Tap water and a compost toilet are available on site. Cost £5 per person per night and £3 per vehicle per night. (£5 for large vehicles like campervans). Maximum of 6 tents at any one time.
Please phone 01208 873554 for more info or to book your place.
You may also be able to email pfaf@theferns.info. Tours of the land with information about the plants we grow are also
available on request.

Holiday combined with Volunteering

If you wish to get more involved with the land, and spend some of your time here helping out, the cost of your visit will be reduced accordingly.
