Medicinal Uses
Plants For A Future can not take any responsibility for any adverse effects from the use of plants. Always seek advice from a professional before using a plant medicinally.
Recent studies show that U. picroides has potential health benefits, exhibiting no significant toxicity to normal cells and demonstrating anti-inflammatory properties. Specifically, it can increase the secretion of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 while decreasing the pro-inflammatory IL-6. This makes Urospermum picroides a safe and potentially beneficial functional food and nutraceutical.
